Can we see the end from here?

Is the death of civilization upon us?

Riots, pandemics, pandemonium. Civil and political unrest are thrust upon us — at least through social media and the mainstream media moguls. No longer are genocide and wars abroad the subject of the nightly newscasts.

Have we heard it all before?

Maybe it isn’t the end. The naysayers among us tout the grim and grime of today. They speculate the doomsday events to come, citing the poor leadership of the current political party -(feel free to look at most any time before an election and you’ll see the mantra) while those who are downtrodden need to look for hope in the party who has lost power.

The righteous shall prevail!

Sure. We know that words matter, but actions speak louder than words. It is time to turn off social media, and the network news for at least a week. The insanity of it comes from the surge for ratings and people forcing their ideas and beliefs upon us while only one real fact remains:

The majority of us just want to be left alone! We as a people do not need micro-management and should be left to our own devices. We know what is best for us in our own situations, and the infringement upon our lives by others…
